Circle of Influence is an "invitation only" bi-monthly serires of events for women entrepreneurs who are in a high growth stage of their business.  An invitation is also extended to executive level corporate women, as well as influential women involved in innovation, academia and other disciplines that may enhance and practice entrepreneurial thinking.

Each event focuses on issues effecting women in business.  Many topics will be specific to business growth and development, while other topics touch on options for women in today's business world.

Gathering together this high level group of women helps to build a network that provides intellectual and referral support with the intention of elevating the profile and impact of women entrepreneurs.

KWBC Mentoring Matters Program is designed to help you, as a female business owner, answer questions and gain expertise with specific focus in such areas as marketing, finance, and sales. This program is desinged to introduce you to the value of great relationships with professionals in their field of expertise. Let us help you meet a mentor who can guide you through the challenges of owning a business.

 

Mentoring Matters targetes businesses in operation of one year or more with $100,000+ in annual revenues.
Fall application process
  

This seminar will help women understand the ins-and-outs of city, state and federal certification. The designations of WBE, MBE & DBE will be explained, and what applies to you and your business. All generally used certification applications along with guidance to help you complete the necessary forms will be available as part of the workshop. This seminar is offered quartlery - check calendar for dates.  Now is the time to get started on certification so you will be prepared to apply for contracts requiring certification!   

These peer-to-peer mentoring roundtables are designed for women to share ideas, take part in creative brainstorming, network, create a support system and continue to develop community leadership skills. Topics addressed include marketing, public relations, cash flow, HR and strategic planning. Our goal is for women business owners to come in with issues and concerns and leave with ideas and solutions. Each roundtable is limited to 8-12 members.

  • Growth: If you have been in business 2+ years and have $100,000 revenues.
  • Accomplished/High Growth: If your business revenues are over $1 million, and you have five employees or more.

One-on-one consulting is available through the center at a nominal rate of $75.00 per hour. Our Client Services Manager, Kelly Pruneau, has 18 years of experienc ein managing and growing retail businesses. She is an experienced consultant for you if you have specific questions in the retail or service sector. If you are in another industry, KWBC will bring in an industry-specific expert for you to work with.
